Hurricane Rita Puts Houston Under The Gun!!

Could it happen again this hurricane season? Could there be another natural disaster with the destructive power of Katrina again this year? Could Rita be the long awaited "Big One" that Houston has known will come?

Maybe

Looking at the Projective path, this could be the big one two punch that hurts the south and the nation catastrophically.

Think about it. Houston has the countries largest Oil infrastructure. Houston is the fourth largest city in the nation and almost 5 times the size of New Orleans. Houston is the fastest growing city in the country.

We could have one heck of a one two punch by the end of the week.

Discuss.

Re: Hurricane Rita Puts Houston Under The Gun!!

Hurricanes are not fun. We are finally recovered from last last year's visit from hurricane Francis (and it was only a tropical storm when it hit us). If it hadn't been for this tree, I'd have a new 3 by now. :?

Re: Hurricane Rita Puts Houston Under The Gun!!

With regard to the oil refineries, I heard a guy on the news today say "if Rita hits between Houston and Corpus Christi with any punch, it will be an unmitigated disaster."

Is it still on the path to Houston? This forum is my source of news.
