President Bush on abortion......

Just saw this on another board I frequent.* It's too funny not to share!

When President Bush was asked his opinion on Roe vs. Wade he responded .."I don't care how people got out of New Orleans".

I don't believe he actually said that, but it's still funny as hell!

There's no reward for failure..........but death!

there doesn't need to be any more political posting. He was sharing a joke.

by the way, the millions of people with speech and reading problems appreciate being called idiots.

yes there does. your country needs to be reminded of who they elected (TWICE.. although I guess that's debatable) as much as possible.

Also, the millions of people with speech and reading problems aren't THE PRESIDENT, you are trying way too hard here..

I don't think making fun of the fact that he's totally incapable of public speaking has anything to do with politics... he can't speak... that's not a political issue.

How about making up words and using words in the wrong context?

there wasnt anything political there...If I had said he sucks at polictics because he cant speak, then that would be political. But all I said was he cant speak...and I feel sorry for him... I retract my idiot statement...even though sometimes he comes off sounding like one due to his inabilitiy to speak publicly. I dont like him all that much but he does his job and he stands up for what he believes in, you have to appreciate a president with a back bone..no matter what.

I was making that comment in the spirit of MZ3's own post in this thread: *
http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?topic=29253.0

we're well aware of who we elected, but thank you for suggesting that we aren't. *But I'll bet you didn't mean it like that, I bet what you really meant was that we need to be reminded that we elected an idiot, therefore we (collectively) are idiots ourselves.

*Hmm....I can see how an idiot could make it out of Yale, after all John Kerry graduated from that school with worse grades than Bush. *The Harvard Business School isn't idiot free, but I bet they don't let in many and graduate even fewer. *I suppose there are idiots that make it into Air Force fighter pilot training, but I'm fairly certain that they all either flunk out or die whereas Bush made it through ok. *So, while there's a possibility that he is, in fact, an idiot I think he's been through enough levels of weeding out that I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

I'd like to hear exactly why you think he's an idiot, because even though you tried to remind us I don't think you did a very good job.

so you're saying that someone with dyslexia, a stammer, or any one of a number of other medically diagnosable disabilities is unqualified for the job of President? *Maybe in Canada, where your head of state is nothing more than a figurehead, that might be so. Here in the US we look for a little substance in our leaders. *

His gaffs may be embarassing. His public speaking ability may not be what some people consider "up to par" for a President. *But does that really make him an idiot?
