Cant Drive for TWO WEEKS!

Today I severely Sprained my right ankle.* Went to Hospital and doctor told me "I am keeping you off work for 2 weeks, and no driving for two week" I definately had to do a double take on that.* I flipped out on him.* Even bargained with him, he wouldnt budge a bit.

Im Sad*

Unless his car is a manual transmission.

I did learn to drive with my left foot when I broke a bone in my right foot. Now I have a manual transmission and I don't know what I would do.

Re: Cant Drive for TWO WEEKS!

You would have to use the clutch once to get the car started and shift without using the clutch. While in first gear, accelerate past 3000 rpms and as soon as you take your foot off the accelerator, pull the stick into neutral, and immediately into second. The car allows you to do this because before you take your foot off the accelerator the engine is pulling the wheels and after, the wheels pull the engine. During this transition, there is a second where the engine and wheels are the same speed, thus allowing you to change gears without the clutch.

Me either. I broke my foot in Jan. Since I have gotten my 3 in June, I have been extra careful.

Re: Cant Drive for TWO WEEKS!

can't drive left footed? what i would do was just tuck my leg as close as close as i could with the seat so that my right leg was pointing towards the driver door. I still do it on long trips when I dont worry about the clutch since i dont have cruise control.

look on the bright side, you can still blast the metal, just cant go anywhere. and your sound system will seem louder in the echo of the garage

Besides man... you don't want to drive for 2 weeks, look at the gas prices . hopefully they go down by then.
