Favorite vocalists

You're allowed to pick 3... and why (song title is good enough)

Cause i have three, hehehehe

1) Sisqo, little man can sing, listen to "How Can I Love U 2 Nite" and "You Are Everything (Remix)"
2) Ginuwine, "Differences" "In Those Jeans" "So Anxious"
A verse from Usher's "Confessions pt. 2"
"That I'm having a baby by a woman that I barely even know
I hope you can accept the fact that I'm man enough to tell you this
And hopefully you'll give me another chance"
This line pisses me off, how you gonna ask for forgiveness when you're knocking people up. If you're a man, you'll accept the fact that you f^%ked up, done someone wrong, and be gone :rtfm:
3) Pharrell Williams, "Frontin'" and all the other people's songs he's in. His voice is so unique

Yours?

Re: Favorite vocalists

Without a doubt I think one of the best voices I've heard in my lifetime is...

Amy Lee from Evanescence - She has the most amazing voice I've heard in my life!

I've listened to their debut album "Fallen" nearly a million times! Oh and it's gone 6x Platinum!! How many other bands today have that kinda record for 1 album, let alone a debut album! I can't wait for their second album, probably coming out sometime in spring 2006 I'm guessing.

Other voices I really like are Mandy Moore (all of her music), the singer from Papa Roach has a cool voice, I love "Scars"!, and there's a few more I really like but can't think of them right now. Probably cause I'm at work and I'm in a different mindset. Haha. When I remember them I'll post.

Re: Favorite vocalists

I guess I'll represent the metal side of the spectrum.

Lajon Witherspoon of Sevendust - So rarely does a heavy metal band find or even choose a vocalist with so much ability. A good example would be "Angel's Son" from the album "Animosity". How he manages to sound so good with such "dirty" distortion from the guitars is a testament to his talent.

Tarja Turunen of Nightwish - She was trained as an operatic vocalist, but had a passion for heavy metal. Any song by Nightwish is bound to stun it's listener with her vocals.

Sandra Nasic of the Guano Apes - Another rare find for a band like Guano Apes. Sandra's vocals are powerful, and evoke emotion... something good music is supposed to do. One of my favorites from her is "Open Your Eyes".

Eat right, exercise regularly, die anyway.

Totally agree about Amy Lee. I in fact was just listening to 'Fallen' on my way into work. Great voice and music!

I also like Enya, and Sarah McLachlan.
