Re: Who Smokes Cigars?

25 too young?? I started smoking a pipe a couple years ago when I was still in college. I'm 24 now and only get to the pipe every few months now. The new apartment and neighborhood just isn't as nice for an overall experience. I also work a hell of a lot more so it cuts down on free time.

Re: Who Smokes Cigars?

Smoked my first (half) cigar when I was 12....I've never smoked anything else. Not even weed. I went to school with a guy whose family had a plantation. Their cigars are called "Bauza", the family name. They're pretty good, but really hard to find. My friend here smokes Gurkhas...he swears by them..I'm not really too fond of them. I think they're Middle Eastern (he's from Iran). My personal favorite is Romeo Y Julieta Cubans. I had the chance to smoke a couple of these while I was in Germany and Amsterdam. Awesome smokes.

Re: Who Smokes Cigars?

I'm 25, and I smoke cigars when they're available! I'd usually go half on some with my brother-in-law and we'd smoke on holidays. Got some Havana's... It's like tasting coconut, chocolate and coffee all at once. Damn were they big too. By far, my favorite cigar.

Monte Cristo's are pretty good. So are Cohiba's. They're a poor substitute for the Cuban stuff though!

Oh yeah, I'm 25. Didn't realize you had to be 50 to enjoy a good cigar...

Back in my clubbin' / drinkin' days...I used to be a 'social' cigar smoker. Being from Pittsburgh, cigars are pretty popular there. I smoked anything from the Havana type down to the Switzer Sweets (plastic tip) type. Yeah, I was ghetto 'back in da day'. haha

Montecristo and Cohiba are Cuban cigars...

I like Montecristo #4. It's the benchmark by which I judge all other cigars and none I have ever tried is better. I'm not even sure it's worth trying to find a better smoke than Montecristo makes. I also smoke a pipe, which requires much more patience than smoking cigars but is more rewarding and richly varied in flavor.

Re: Who Smokes Cigars?

Not in the U.S.!

I could be mistaken, but the vast majority of Cohiba's sold (legally) in the US are made with Dominican tobacco as all Cuban imports are strictly forbidden.* The Monte Cristo's we have actually come from South America... I forget what the label said.
