Should I Move To San Fransisco?

All jokes aside...

So I have a chance to move in with two friends who are going to the Art Instititute. Rent is $400 (free cable, DSL, water) for a two bedroom apartment with kitchen and bath.

My reason for leaving is because of my friggin' suspended license...its impossible to go from point A to point B in San Diego and my parents are being anal about me using the car so I figure San Fran isn't too bad since I won't need my car and I can travel around in bike or public transportation. I'm planning to stay until my 1 year suspension is up which is next July. Oh and fuck the cops and DMV.

I'm kind of being a pussy about it though. I'm 18 and too used to living at home and shit. How difficult was it when you moved out? My dad will probably have to wire me $500 each month until I find a job over there.

Or should I just stay and "risk" it by going to a shitty $7.85 job and community college?

If I do go, I look at it being my 1 year break (although I'll be looking around for classes) after highschool and a lesson to see how it feels to live by myself and see if I can survive.

Cliffs:

- Might move to San Fran with two friends/roomates
- Two bedroom apartment: $400
- Fuck the DMV
- ??

I would move to SF in a minute if I could get an equally high paying job and decent rent!

Im not from San Fran but I have been there and its nice as hell. Great weather, nice views and cool people. Im in Phoenix and out of cities to choose from I would go with that one. You should love it. Not a bad price to live there either.

If my memory serves, you got drunk in Mexico and tried to drive home, right? And you're complaining about your parents being anal about your car? You don't have a license, homeboy. Take some goddamn responsibility.

Anyway. SF is awesome if you have money, which you seem to. You're lucky your rent is only $400. $400/mo would generally get you a bench on a streetcorner in SF. There's plenty to do there, and if you like being between 45F and 65F all year, weather's nice. And you definitely don't need a license to live there, either.
