Weird food combinations

dioxviad's thread on PBJ construction made me think of my wife's family and their weird food combo for Sunday brunch.

They used to make a standard Sunday brunch meal out of Hot Dogs and Bananas with Ketchup in the same bite.

Anyone else try that or is it a Baltimore thing?

What other combos are interesting?

I know Raisinets and Popcorn is oral ecstasy. What else?

Re: Weird food combinations

My dad once used rum as an ice-cream topping. No he's not an alcoholic.

As a child in school, I used to take cheese sandwiches, and put potato chips and mustard inside.

Hhhhmmm Chips in a sandwich.. I do that for ham, bologna, turkey etc... sometimes hamburgers unless I have fries which then make their way on...

I have a friend who owns a pizza joint and he makes me this pizza that has potato slices and cheese with no sauce but garlic and parsley and its so good.

I know people who like to put mustard, ketchup and mayo all together on a hamburger.

He Who Flingy Dingy Must Have A Dingy to Flingy.

Re: Weird food combinations

On the pizza front, while visiting Scottland, a friend there introduced me to Peaches (from a can) and Sausage. Very interesting taste but I haven't had it since.

Hotdogs I do the Mayo and Ketchup with onions thing. Lot's of folks look at me weird for mayo on a dawg.

Dang.. Now I'm like Carolyn, hungry!!! ;-)
