Terrell Owens is a God.

Well, at least he thinks he is...* Is anyone else watching this interview?* Chris Berman is interviewing him during halftime of the preseason game and I wish this guy would just leave the league.* I am not an Eagles fan, but I think they would be better off without him.

His agent is trying to milk it as well.* I am sure he has Terrell's best interests in mind.*

If and when they post a transcript, I'll post it, but man I can't believe that guy.

On EDIT: Here is the long and short of what they were talking about:

Another star that think he is godís gift to sports. He was lucky to get the chance of becoming a star then his ego gets the best. Some people never learn. If you don't want to play then get out. Don't milk the shit more that you are worth. Big heads like his need to be brought down a notch.

Re: Terrell Owens is a God.

As an Eagles fan, this whole situation is tough to watch. I saw his interview on PTI this afternoon, and I was a little shocked at how much he doesn't want to talk with McNabb.

From a football standpoint, the Eagles are definitely NOT better off withgout him especially given we lost our 2nd WR for the season, and the others have never started an NFL game before. From a team/morale standpoint, he is definitely a 'cancer' to team buliding unfortunately. It looks as if T.O. wants to play this season, which it seems that he does even though he is unhappy, he will have to do it as an Eagle. The management came out and said that this evening...either sit out on his own, or play for the Eagles...no trades/release.

Re: Terrell Owens is a God.

Hmmm Top 1 or 2 WR in the league pay him like he's the 15th yeah that legit. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The man has a point and the media does a good job of hiding it. How would Mcnabb feel if Jay Feeley made more than him. Don't put his contract in terms of what you get paid put it in NFL $$$$ terms and you'll see TO is right on point.

Check ESPN.com for his latest interview and you'll see more media spin. TO curses out coach. Uhhhhh as per the source he said shut-up not quite to potty mouth. And if you hear the terms it was used you'll understand. How bout this don't let the media make up your mind.

Unfortuneately you can't read my mind so you don't know who or what made my mind up. Top receivers in the league don't cause problems for their team. Let's draw a comparison. Take a look at Michael Jordan, the guy was a consumate professional on and off the court. Strong contrast to TO who is a cocky bastard on the field and self-righteous jerk off the field. I'd take the humble yet extremely talented Marvin Harrison over TO any day. He produces without a bunch of hooplah.

I heard his interview with Berman before I ever read the article and my mind had already been made up. If I remember correctly the Eagles closed out the season and made it to the Super Bowl without TO last year.

So how 'bout this, don't be a fanboi.

I agree that the media is spinning a lot of the situation to suit rating/make a story 'better'. The NFL contract structure sucks for players, and I see why some players are holding out. T.O. is definitely in the top 5 WR, so he should be paid around that level.

Re: Terrell Owens is a God.

Ouch, I was just watching the interview on Sportscenter and right after he comments on Jerry rice, he says:
"I just want to be pai...", he catches himself and then says, "I just want to play football."

Team first, right TO?

Re: Terrell Owens is a God.

* How bout him busting his butt to help his team in the SB.* He could have played it safe and watched them get murdered but he went out at less than 100% to help his team.* All this team bull and he blocked for Westbrook all year. Not one person on the Eagles will tell you TO doesn't give 100% on the field and thats the defination of a team player. If it's all about team then McNabb wouldn't accept a contract that hurts his team from signing it's players. Simon, Westbrook, (Hugh D. Trotter had to leave a few years back) 2003's DB's.* The reason McNabb isn't upset is because he's paid what he's worth.* If they did TO the same way it would be all good. And the Harrison thing.* Once again why would he be upset.* He's a top 3 rec and he gets paid like it.* TO is a Top 1,2 rec and he gets paid like he's 15+* And me being "Fanboi" how bout someone that has different views than the media thats the shadiest crew there is.

Ahhhh if everyone looked beyond what ESPN puts out.

Re: Terrell Owens is a God.

Anybody see Drew Rosenhouse(?) on David Letterman? He was such an irritating ass whining and crying about how much TO doesn't make and how much the owners make. When people who make multiple millions a year I just cant stomach them complaining about how much more they need or how much they don't make.
And yes I am anti-TO (his attitude), I think he's a cancer and don't care how good he is and I wouldn't have him on my team (GO CHIEFS!!) for anything. Freddy Mitchell is bad enough....
