If people would set their mirrors the right way, they wouldn't even need to do that. Peripheral vision should be enough to have a clear picture of what's around you at all times. Having to turn your head to see your blind spot means your mirrors aren't set right.

I posted a link in a thread a loooooong time ago about how to set them correctly. I don't remember the thread topic (if it still exists). I do remember csweeney commented on it, so maybe she remembers?
I found it through Google. It was an instructional page published by a car insurance company.

Re: I just love watching...

Ha Ha, DangerMouse and 3andme, I got ya'll....

I am not fixated on my wheels spinning while I drive. I am a very good driver. Driving now for years, only 2 tickets, and no accidents~ thank you! I'm just talking about when I can catch a glimps of them shining and spinning... No worries!5
I have always had a blind side mirror on all my cars, and I just have gotten used to them. Driving cars without em bugs me...

Re: I just love watching...

When I drove my Bronco about 6 years ago, it had those little blind spot mirrors. *I always did a shoulder check anyway, just didn't trust them.

Even if I did have the mirrors set the "right" way, I'd still shoulder check. *It's just the way I was taught and now its a habit. *At least its a good habit.
