Do ya'll remember those stuffed animal things that were reversable? You could turn them inside out & it'd turn into a soccer ball? Or the other side would be this weird gremlin looking thing?

Re: Did you grow up in the 80's???

some of those can't apply to much to some of you as if you were born in 82 then the real things you might remember were really only from 86-90 and even thats pushing it. *I was born in 77 and still I wouldn't say I grew up in the 80's too much as really the times you remember the most are from 10 on(yes I know I have lots of memories of Transformers and going to see Jedi when it came out but my most memorable moments are from 10 on) *Now my sister who was born in 74, she certainly "grew up" in the 80s with the big hair....

sorta like being the same age as Molly ringwald in Pretty in Pink or same age as that chick in Uncle Buck(the oldest daughter) is more in line with growing up in the 80s.

I remember all of the things in the list sure, but not many are early 80s stuff.
taken if you were born in '82

Shot through the heart came out in 86, you were 4.
Fresh Prince aired in 1990 so that really doesnt count.
We are the world - 1985 you were 3 but yes it played every freakin year
Magic vs Bird started in the 1979 championships you werent even born(and i was even only 2)
Gremlins 1 '84 Gremlins 2 '90
Sike or Phych was certainly late 80s
babysitters club book was 86(4), tv show was 90.(not 80s)
Blossom aired 91(not 80s)
hammertime release '91
Fraggle rock 83 but since it was sindicated aired for long time so I'll give em this one lol
Pound Puppies 86(kids show so thats good)
Duck tales are very late 80s like 89
Teenage mutant ninja turtles movie release 90 dont count.
Oregon trail is good
Acid wash and LA gear are hilarious
pee wee is 85, you were 3

anyhow i'm bored and not directing this at anyone in perticular just showing that a lot of this either didn't even happen in the 80's or happened at a time that some people here would have been too young to remember unless they were watching reruns or an old movie.

Like they ran transformers the original series in the 90s, does it make it something they remember? no
Just like Scooby Doo, which we all watched in the 80s were reruns of shows in the 70's.

How many of you remember the early 90s more, I'd say it was my more memorable times with music and tv and everything.

Re: Did you grow up in the 80's???

Um, people have memories as early as 4 & 5 years old. Not 10. But the 80's fads went well into the 90's as well.

Re: Did you grow up in the 80's???

my point was more that some of that stuff doesnt even originate in the 80's and also some people remember stuff when they were 4 but really do you consider them your most memorable time of growing up, which is really what that list is talking about. as some have stated the only reason they remember is because it trickled into the 90s which imo about that list it dont count, like my transformers reference and scooby doo.
