EZ Pass Users

Where did you mount your EZ-pass tag? I orginally mounted mine on the black textured area ontop of the rearview mirror, but was told this paint may contain Fe and interfer with the RF signal. Can anyone support or refute that? The tag just looks really silly from the outside when I mount it in the dead spot dirrectly behind the mirror. It kind of levatates in the middle of the windsheild.

Re: EZ Pass Users

I just hold mine up. I transfered it from another car, didn't have the adhesive velcro and was too lazy to ever contact EZPass and get a new one with new velcro.

Re: EZ Pass Users

Read your EZ-pass instructions! They inform you to install it one inch from the mirror on the passenger side, and one inch from the top of the window.

Have anymore questions, call them! Its a toll free call for god sake. This chat forum is not the place to ask questions like this.

Yea, i just hold mine up. I keep it in the center console and pull it out whenever I am going through. Dont like the look of it when its mounted in the windshield. *Not sure about the paint blocking the signal, although i dont think it would.

This has been asked before. Running a search for EZ-Pass probably would have got you the answer you're looking for.

However, I happen to know that the black mesh WILL NOT interfere with your EZ-Pass tag at all. Go ahead and mount it where ever you want.

Eat right, exercise regularly, die anyway.

Re: EZ Pass Users

Indeed, I put mine right on the black dotted area lined up to be touching the roof and it works fine. I drive on the Mass pike daily and it never misses.

Re: EZ Pass Users

I always thought these things were easy to steal but I didn't think it would come to this. Where's the profit? Unless you're a cab driver, how would you make money off this? If i notice extra charges, I would change my unit immidietly. Anyhow, I guess I'll start putting the unit away in the glove compartment when I park in a populated area.
