I love driving around...Don't you?

I went out for a drive this evening...Just so bored in the hizzy. Went out and had an RX-8 keep driving around me. he finally got up next to me...smiled and drove past me.....He had a few things done to it....couldnt name anything but the exhaust lol..... Also had one of those chrysler 300's race me up a straight-away...at first i sped by him but them i let off the gas and he just sped by. Drove by an WRX...hydrolic shifter? I dunno...
A nice evening to ride though. The temps were about 75 degrees....no humidity...Good times....Yeah thats my fun for the day/evening...now to hop in the shower...some of us have to get up early to work tommorow morning

Re: I love driving around...Don't you?

I do too, except when bad things happen. Just yesterday I witnessed a car flip over. The driver must have been out of it, because he managed to hit a powerline pole on the side of the road at speed. The pole gave way, sending his car airborn for a 180, landing top-side down. Luckily, he escaped form the driver's side window, still in one piece and walking.

Misfortunes aside, I love to drive, particulary at night with all the windows down. There's a nice cool breeze and a feeling of serenity I get driving at night. I often times find it difficult to control my "lead foot" though ;-)

Re: I love driving around...Don't you?

Yeah.... I love driving around too. I had some friends over for dinner that live in Manhattan so I just drove them back to their apartments. Had a nice cruise through down the Henry Hudson Parkway, Times Square, then up Park Ave and over to Riverside Drive and back to dirty Jersey (which is ironically cleaner than Manhattan). I get sick of walking through midtown when I go to work, but driving through is sooo nice!

Ahh man, the 300C is a really nice car. There is some guy here where I live that has a black one, w/ black tints w/ black rims w/ the silver lip **drool. He had the whole indepndent fog thing going w/ a niceeeeee chromed out grill. It looks like a Bentely, but yet far from it.

Re: I love driving around...Don't you?

I TOTALLY agree!! *Feels as close as I could get to flying... *Every now and then I take a drive to the south end of the island. *About a 1.5 hr drive and its so relaxing to drive up those mountains and over look the mountains, windows open, music thumping... *Once you hit the top and start coming down and you can see the ocean, its beautiful!
Its even more fun when I guy pulls up to ya and ya can flirt a bit... *
There is another drive that takes me along the East Coast overlooking the ocean. *But these are old country roads, tight and twisty! *Pretty scary too if you go too fast. *You are right along the edge of the clifs. *Passengers usually get sick... lol

I love driving at night with all the windows down, its so quiet and serene and has a calming effect from a long day at work. I love doing that in my 3.

When I first got a car you could basically call me a taxi, I loved to drive. Still do. I used to drive a friend of mine up island every weekend for a party(bout 1.5 hours up and 1 hour back). Loved it. Took my porsche up that highway and topped it at 3am with noone on the road. Drive everywhere i can. Take roads I've never taken to see where they lead all the time. Seen some wacky places.

Re: I love driving around...Don't you?

I hear ya Kira, I love to just drive around sometimes. Some evenings after work I'll be a few blocks from home, and then all the sudden I'll take a different road and just go for a drive. Sometimes it lasts only 20 min., sometimes 45 min. or more! Most of the time I decide not to go home right away for a reason, like if I'm upset about something or I'm trying to cool my emotions from stuff I'm going through. Everytime I go on one of these drives I find new backroads I never knew existed in my own area! That's what's cool!
