Jealousy and Road Rage

I was just curious if anyone was experiencing road rage or jealousy. I usually have some idiot in a huge chevy or some other truck tailing my ass, or some other riced out car like a camaro or something tailing me. Others are always asking to race me too. Just today as I was headed home I pulled out onto the highway from a street and this truck was in a parking lot. I pull out watching him and the jerk, being no more than 100-200 feet away from me, pulls out in front of me, applies his brakes quickly, then floors it, then slows down once again up the road. Bad drivers annoy me. I simply kept going the speed limit and tried to ignore the childness.
But as for others, people are always wanting to race my 3.
I was simply curious if any of you have had similiar problems.
Maybe its not the car, but its just idiot drivers....cuase they are plenty of them.

Re: Jealousy and Road Rage

I get my share of other ass drivers, but im no better.
Lets just say im an offensive driver, not defensive- so I guess im in a rage all the time behind the wheel. Usually happens more on the way home from work. Other than that im just cruising with the windows UP and the system blasting.

[/quote] Lots of idiots where I drive, though it is California. Have been nearly hit many times by people not using their blinker and simply just driving dangerously. I have only raced some business guy in a Mustang once, most guys I don't think want to race a girl. I used to get challenged all the time in my 626, guys would always pull up to me and rev their engine, then I would leave them in my dust

Sigh. Camaros burn methamphetamine, dear. Civics burn rice. Get your geography straight, yo.

And unfortunately, that inbred moron in the Camaro can smoke you. And me (except in the BMW).

Re: Jealousy and Road Rage

someone wants to race me all the time. But it's not as bad as before when I had a mod Tercel (I get a chanllenge everyday, mostly from kids in their Cavalier or Civics). A bit less in my 3 now, maybe once a week a guy will pull next to me and smoke his tire or rev his engine while stoped at a red light.

Re: Jealousy and Road Rage

Yeah.... road rage is a way of life where I live. If you're not as crazy as everyone else, you'll never even merge onto the highway (which, btw, you need to take to get ANYWHERE)!

I always have to remember to tone myself down when I visit my folks in PA every three weeks!

I hear ya, bad drivers annoy me also. I pride myself on my safe driving. I remember back when I was in drivers ed, my teacher told us to slam on your brakes when someone is tailing you. They either run into your ass, or figure out the point.
