Watched someone die in my arms today

On my way home from work I witnessed a mid 90s Cadilac hit a telephone pole at 40mph+.
I pulled over and ran over to the car to help. A man in his mid 50s was inside and unconsence.
I gpot the door open and called 911 for a ambulance.
didnt move him in case he had a neck injury when I noticed him turning blue. He wasnt breathing right and gasping for air. Me and another witness went to get him out of the car whn the ambulance got there. I was holding his arm when he stopped breathing.
The paramedics tried to revive him but it was a no go. Looks like he had a heart attack.
Needless to say Im in a bit of shock right now....

Good that you were there to help TGM3. At least he didn't die alone.

Re: Watched someone die in my arms today

hang in there. It's *always good to hear about people trying to help others.

Back when I was about 15/16. Me and a buddy were on our school lunch break.(open campus). Passing by the circle K quickie mart we saw another student laying on the ground in the parking lot with a bunch of people standing around.
We busted a U and pulled in.. When I jumped out I knew right away something was very wrong. The kid was having a seizure and turning blue. I grabed a jacket out of someones hands and put it under his head. As i looked into his mouth and asked wtf happened I could hear my buddie yelling "Call 911 you dumb bitch" to the cashier at the store who was just standing there.

Someone then said he got sucker punched, *at the same time I pulled a big piece of hot dog out of his mouth and throat. Apparently he was having a bite to eat when some jerk-off punched him in the face knocking him out. A few seconds later his color started comming back. Luckily the Ambulance depot was only a few blocks away and they arrived very quickly as did the police.

I was amazed that all those people atleast a dozen were standing there watching him die.

Good for you for atleast trying to help.

You are most kind to render assistance, but sometimes things are out of your control. You did the right thing man, don't ever regret it.
