Just saw the news.....

CRESCENT CITY, Calif. ó A major earthquake struck Tuesday night about 80 miles off the coast of northern California, prompting a tsunami warning along the Pacific coast.

The 7.0-magnitude quake struck at about 7:50 p.m. southwest of the coastal community of Crescent City, according to the U.S. Geological Survey Web site.

Now, every time there's an earth quake the news will be howling about tsunamis. Gotta fill up those hours of airtime with something. If news programming was limited to, say, six hours a day maximum across the entire broadcast spectrum, I think we'd get much more concise, accurate and impartial news. Say no to fear mongering! :x
