Headaches ALL The Time??

kk, so for a few months now i tend to get real bad migraines about twice a month but lately ive been getting some real bad headaches all the time. like this week....for the past 4 days ive had a headache most of the day. 3 days ago i took 3 extra strength tylenols and the headache still didnt go away and then i went to bed and the next morning i still had the stupid headache! now, i highly doubt it's got something with my eyes cuz i just got my eyes checked out and everythings fine now... any ideas as to what it might be?

Headaches ALL The Time??

Go get it checked out.

Too many things can go on inside our heads. I'm not going to mention specifics just because....

Go get it checked.

Headaches ALL The Time??

See a neurologist. I have had migraines all my life. Tylenol hasn't worked since I was about 7 or so. You could try Asprin Free Excedrin (badged as Excedrin Tension headache). It works well for me and has for over 20 years now.

I have taken heavier meds (by RX only!) such as Inderal.

Take into account this could also be an allergic reaction to a food, alcohol (this is why I don't/can't drink), lack of sleep, too much sleep, altitude changes, weather changes and so on.

Keep a headache diary and list your day in detail. This should help narrow down what's triggering them.

^^ A doctor?

There are tons of things it could be

Need for glasses

Glucose levels

Potassium Levels

Food Allergies(linked back to to much potassium and such)

Lots of stuff.
Go to a neurologist or head towards your local headache clinic.

worst case scenario... meningitis or a brain tumor. I don't say that to freak you out, but so that you'll see a doctor a.s.a.p.

If it's migraine headaches, then there's excellent drugs that can help with those that you can take before one even comes on. They don't zone you out and you can drive/work while using them. They worked great for me in the past. One of them is Sumitriptan. Your doc will know anyhow.

Cluster headaches, which is what you may suffer from can have all variety of causes as posted above, including stress. Definitely see a doc soon and stay off alcohol and caffeine until you figure it out.

sorry to hear it Roxy. I know how bad that can suck.

hope the doc helps
