I moved here a couple months ago due to the USAF. And I'm getting to experience my first true Tornado scare. Hopefully you guys won't be seeing me on tv anytime soon.

What happened? When?

I had a tornado warning scare once while living in Brownwood. Have yet to actually see one tho. I gathered everyone into the bathroom at the time. Pretty scary from the sound of the wind outside however. Found out the next day the Tornado was about 5-6 miles away during the warning.

Today. They had the sirens on but I guess we got lucky. I didn't have to worry about the mother nature stuff in Phoenix. Just 116 degree temp.

that happens all the time.

ive known one person to get their roof torn off, but i forgot who it was. but yeah it happens all the time.

most of the time it stays in the air if a funnel does form. Even when i was little i learned to not be too afraid of them cause nothing ever happened.

of course now i will probably die in a tornado tomorrow.

When I was working in Haltom City, near Ft Worth, back in '03 (think it was April), there was a tornado that came through just to the south. It was one of my off days and I was sitting in the hotel when I heard the sirens, so I was wondering what the heck I was going to do. I was watching the weather alert on TV and saw the funnel in the distance and just hoped it wouldn't change directions.

After the danger passed and considering how the sirens kinda freaked me out, I decided that I actually preferred the earthquakes here in California that come with no warning - no sirens. Heh.

Good luck with that. I only saw one funnel cloud the whole time I lived in Houston (24 yrs of my life) and that was about 5 yrs ago or more when we had a big storm come through, destroyed part of First colony mall.
