How come laws don't make any sense anymore?

Ok.. We all know I just got some speeding tickets & a ticket for my windows being tinted too dark (blah)

I just called to get the cost... OMG... Ok... Did you know in the state of VA that you can buy a minor cigarettes & get caught, & it's cheaper than getting a ticket going 12 over the speed limit!!! I'm soooo pissed off!!! OH!!! And you can be drunk in public & the ticket is only 25 f'ing dollars!!!! Can anyone else out there feel my wrath?

How come laws don't make any sense anymore?

the real question is why are you wasting money on tint when you could be drunk in public and buying smokes for kids?

^^Mwaha. Thats funny, but the speeding thing is you could kill someone immediately by speeding but not by buying them cigs I guess??? The window tint thing is purely to protect the polic officers..I think..

Well, smoking hurts only you (effective) whereas driving 12 over can hurt others. So that makes sense. Drunk in public being $25 is a little weirder, but even that you're more likely to hurt someone going 12 over than by just being a drunk nuisance.

I know this is off topic but second hand smoke is actually more harmful than smoking directly (that is if you were to inhale the same amount that a smoker inhales). This is because the smoker inhales through a filter but every breath they exhale is the pure tar which is not filtered.

Do you know how retarded your logic is there? So, during the time the smoke is in the lungs.. it gets worse? It's already passed thru the filter. Of course, sans the miniscule amount of wrapper that burns on the end, but I doubt that's sufficient enough to amount to anything of consequence..

Enjoy your spahgetti, you're very rude.

dbK, he's actually right. Of course, in order to inhale as much smoke, you'd have to be in an enclosed area like a bar or something. Of course, more and more states are making that illegal. It'd be hard for a smoker to harm a non-smoker up here unless a lot of your friends are smokers, now.

with the way it is worded my understanding is your saying, because the smoker has a filter that he is smoking through it stops the worst part from entering his lungs. But because when he is breathing out into the open air with no filter from his lungs the second hand smoke will have more of the bad stuff from the cigarette?
I have to go with dbk on this one, I dont get the logic in that statement at all. Unless you are putting in the normal exhaling of the smoker combined with the smoke itself will make it worse.
