Turn signals

I am kind of obsessed with the turn signals. I think it's a great invention and a perfect tool to let the other drivers know about your intension. Can somebody please tell me why people don't use them?

I drive on the highway (I-95) everyday and seems like few people use them. I want to hear from people the reason of not using them.

I use my turn signals all the time, even in parking lots when I am pulling into a spot. Using turn signals comes natural to me, just like wearing my seatbelt

I, too, have always used my turn signals out of habit. However, I do frown upon drivers who do not use them.

When I drive to Pittsburgh, PA with my father, I'm constantly getting on him about using them (since he changes lanes frequently). It makes a big difference on the interstates IMO.

I LOVE turn signals - I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS use them, but for some reason it seems that cars shipped to NJ come without turn signals, since its so rare I see anyone use them.

Yeah, my mom loves to ask people when she pulls them over, ( she is a Philly cop) especially if they are in a 'luxury' car - " Didn't your car come with the turn signal option"

I am so glad to see that our fellow mazda3 drivers use them.
lmp180psu, please pass my thanks to your mom, I always wish that I could say that to the drivers, but since I am not a cop, I have the risk of being beaten up

It's such an easy thing, it just involves a finger movement and makes a lot of difference.
On the other hand there are some drivers out there that they don't even know they exist.

I'll drink to that!! I'm a Jersey transplant (yes I actually chose to live here ) and it constantly pisses me off especially driving on the 5-lane autobahns around my place. At any given moment there are three cars changing lanes and not one of them uses the turn signal... they're begging to be hit!!

It's great to hear about the Philly cop saying the cars must not have come with them! My mom also says that and sometimes it seems like the only logical reason for not using it!!
