Dumbest driving you have seen?

This morning, this lady was trying to do a 3-point turn in the middle of my street (even though it ends in a cul-de-sac), and she ended up backing into the fire hydrant on my yard..and this thing is a good 3-4 feet from the curb! some ppl should not be allowed to drive..hahaha

oh..and another time i saw this person (on a 3 lane road) turn left from the lane that was furthest to the right..he cut off 2 other lanes!!

You should have seen this goon of a truck driver today at the store I work at....ive never seen a 53' trailer squeeze through such a narrow turn like that before....sure it took him an hour and a half longer than other truck drivers to back up to our warehouse properly, but wow, what a show of hand eye coordination.

Dumbest driving you have seen?

i could fill up 1000 posts with stupid things i've seen maryland drivers do. a few highlights:

i've seen on three different occasions people going in reverse on a freeway on-ramp (backing up the way they came).

some guy doing an illegal u-turn....in front of a cop parked on the side of the road.

an old lady driving on the wrong side of the road on a 4 lane highway.

dozens of idiots coming to a COMPLETE stop while trying to merge onto the freeway.

i could go on and on.....

titanium gray, 2.3 4 dr, 5 sp, leather, nav, xenons, sport package, every airbag, rear lip spoiler, 38% mirror tint all around

Well thats kind of embarassing but it defenitely doesnt make you a bad driver. In the last 2 weeks ive had 2 people turn into my lane when I am practically right next to them, I think im gonna wear out my brakes pretty fast

hahaha..a friend of mine once drove over my foot. she's pretty spaz-tastic and someone said go and bam..hits the gas. funny, since i didn't even get a bruise on my foot!

yeah..I get a lot of idiots who turn into my lane. mostly, ppl don't look when they pull out..stupid old ladies, think they own the road. You honk at them and they glare you down.

ok not trying to sound racist but Koreans are THE worst drivers EVAR! There is a big population of them in my city, and a lot of them in my apartment complex, and let me tell you they LOVE to turn without looking either way, this happens to me at least ONCE per day in my apartment complex parking lot, I pretty much drive on the other lane so i dont get hit.

Dumbest driving you have seen?

I'm not sure if this qualifies as dumb in the spirit of this thread, but the person who was doing it must be dumb if he thinks he was being sly.

I was driving home from work a couple mornings ago on the freeway (SB 101 in Palo Alto for the locals). It was ~5:45am, so it was still somewhat dark and the traffic was sporadic. Out of the corner of my eye I keep thinking I'm seeing lights blinking in my sideview mirror. It took me awhile, but I finally figured out what it was.

Some guy was jumping in-and-out of the carpool lane using it as a passing lane (like a lot people do everywhere), but this is what he was doing. He'd turn off his headlights, slide into the carpool lane, pass a car, slide back into the #2 lane, and then turn his headlights back on. Needless to say, he wasn't signalling the lane changes. If I hadn't seen him do it 3 times before he went by me, I would've thought it a fluke. As it was, all I could do was laugh. Oh, and his car was black, too, so I figure he thought he was being extra stealthy. Sheesh.

Slightly off-topic, I saw a REALLY stupid non-driver maneuver today. I saw a guy run across 9 lanes of Friday, mid-afternoon freeway traffic and somehow not get hit. This was at about 4pm so there were a lot of cars, but it was clear enough that we were going at or above the speed limit (65mph). I half-expected to see police officers chasing him, but there weren't any officers or police/CHP cars anywhere in sight.

I was about 8 cars back in the #2 lane when he crossed in front of me. He jumped right over the center divide, starting waving his hands at oncoming cars and stutter-stepped all the way to the other side.

I thought you only saw that stuff on TV or in SoCal. Hehe. I have to assume he was running away from the police, but he had to have been running a long way because I'm pretty sure the area from where he originally came from onto the freeway is a large military cemetary.

MY best friend was a horrible driver in high school. She almost got us killed once. Her logic at stop signs was STOP and then go (nope, didn't look both ways!)
