If you had 35k to spend on a car, what would you get?

From the other topic I posted, you probably know my 6 is totalled. If the insurance offers me retail value of the car + a requested 1500 for tax on the car that I paid and will not ever see again, I will pocket about $6000 over my payoff. With everything now, I want the payment I had on the 6 but I don't care about paying longer. So with my current state, I have enough to get a car costing about 35k or under. I can wait, because my dad is getting a company car next week. So our car situation is doable, but we need 1 more sometime.

So what would you get for $35k? Coupe or Sedan doesn't matter. It is a daily commuter car, so RX-8 gas mileage is out of the question. I would like a sporty car but I need a comfortable car first.

My current list:
in most wanted order

Infiniti G35 coupe
BMW 3 series
Mazda 3 SP23
Mazdaspeed6
Evo(low on the list)

There are more that I'm not thinking of, help me out

08 Accord V6 6sp Coupe

SP23 Sedan - Sold 10/31/08

Totalled- 2003 Lapis Blue Mazda 6, 4/28/05

Your list is looking good so far

I would add the Acura TL to the list. I have been inside one and the leather is very soft, and the exterior look is clean and sporty IMO/

I would get a Mazda 3 and put the difference into something to make you money instead of lose your ass like a car will. You were fine with a 6 so why the need to just pay more for a car because of this? Invest some money and sit back and watch it grow.

No where near as much fun as the G35, or sexy, but damn it would feel good have 15-20k sitting as an investment on a house or whatever you chose to purchase later on.

MS6, out of that list.

MZ3 SP23 wouldn't be bad...

You can't get a decently loaded 3-series for that price, and that's the only other one I'd be interested in at that price.

By the time I need to buy a house, about 2 years, if my current financial state continues, I'll be looking at well over 15-20k in the bank. My worth keeps growing, so I don't care much about it.
