Do you Haiku?

I got bored, so I came up with a few Haikus to use as an away message on AIM. They are very simple to come up with, and sometimes they turn out really interesting. Here are a few I came up with regarding love, my car, and life. Warning: I'm an engineering student, so my artistic side needs work -- but I try. ;-)

beautiful woman,
poison of my emotions -
teach me to love you

black as the nighttime
luscious curves in the darkness
turn the key and go

here I stand today
remnant of my days gone by -
glimpse of tomorrow

There's really only one rule to writing traditional haikus: they have to be 17 syllables total, with 5 on the first line, 7 on the second line, and 5 on the third line. You can stray from this rule of course, with some poetic license. Come on people... let's get creative :-)

Do you Haiku?

Actually, I had a pretty sweet haiku on the forum last summer, but I think it MIGHT have gotten lost in the crash of '04.

Do you Haiku?

I recall some haiku thread too. I think it was quite a long time ago so it must have survived the crash.
