I will go out of my way to park in the outer rings of Saturn to make sure no idiot slams their car door into my 3.

I no longer park half a marathon from the store, but I do choose my spots wisely. I.e., don't park next to two door cars, SUVs, etc.. anything with long doors or that's likely to have some stupid careless kids.

Enjoy your spahgetti, you're very rude.

I coulda sworn we had a topic like this before. Most people on this board park far away from others.
If I go to a grocery store or Walmart or something like that, I park on the end, or at the very back of the lot. No dings yet and the car is about 9 months old.

If the wife is with me, I'll park pretty close, but I'll drive around until I find the nicest car in the lot and park next to them becasue I figure if they got a nice car they will try not to ding their doors either. But if I'm alone, I park in BFE. I don't park all sideways or take up two spots though, I think that is just retarded.

I tried the whole parking in the boonies thing, and I found out that it only attracted more attention to my car. Now I just park wherever is convenient, as long as there aren't any crookedly parked beaters in the spots next to me.

You really have to watch out for those VW van/mini-bus things. Those front seats are so high up, they have to open the door at a complete 90 to climb up inside. I've been dinged twice by them in other cars.

They must do it a lot, as once I was sitting in my car when it happened and the damn woman didn't care - she smiled and walked away. SHE ..... SMILED!! I was so pissed (I was about 19) and I wound up and gave her car door a sweet pounding with the back of my upper arm. Immature actions, I know. I was an immature teenager, what can i say?

Anyways, say away from those things too.

Parking as far as possible doesn't always work tho- I seem to park far as hell at the mall and then 15 min later I come out and there's an old lady parking her old caddy right next to my car! Plus, someone already fukked my car up while parked at the mall...and it wasn't with their door - so BAM $2k damage on a 3 week old car =\
