Zumanity? Shows in Vegas!

My wife and I are heading toward Vegas in the new SP23 in May. We have been doing research and decided to stay at the NY NY Hotel.

Also we got front row tickets to Zumanity, it's from the creators of that Cirque du Soleil stuff. Just wondering if anyone has seen the show and what your thought were.

Also looking for ideas to do in Vegas, shows, casinos, resteraunts and bars. Hook me up! Thanks

Here is a link to that Zumanity, Be careful it is an adult show.

Zumanity? Shows in Vegas!

Hello!

I live in las vegas and have seen zumanity, O, mystere, chevall and a few other cirque productions. I really liked zumanity, but it is NOT for anyone who might be homophobic, conservative or otherwise closeminded. There are very obvious acts of gender bending, cross dressing, and homosexuality. But that is part of the reason I really enjoyed it. Some might say it pushes the envelope, in some ways very artistically and beautifully, and in others very crass (in an enjoyable fashion). But I still think it has been one of the more artfull and intriguing cirque productions I have seen.

As far as bars and clubs, what I could suggest depends on what you are looking for. Age range? Music type? dancing? lounge?

let me know I have a few hook ups in town and would be happy to extend them to a fellow 3 owner.

Zumanity? Shows in Vegas!

Thanks Miss Kim

We are really looking forward to our trip and that show we've heard good things and can't wait. I don't think we'll be dissapionted.

As for any bars/clubs nothing too crazy, Age 20's Music I'd say top 40 stuff. Dancing? Doesn't matter much.

We really want to do some just easy drinking and relaxing. I know I know in Vegas? I think it can be accomplished. So anything you might think a newbie to Vegas would like. Thanks again any advice would be awesome.

if you want a little less meat-market, and live music (top 40, upbeat mix of nostalgia) nice view, and more of a lounge atmosphere check out the Voo Doo lounge at the Rio. I hang out there at least once a week. Comparably to other clubs and Ultra lounges it is more laid back, and less expensive. It is on the 51st floor of the Rio and has a large deck that you can sit or dance or drink on, that has a great view of the valley.

If you want a dance club check out Rain at the Palms. Be warned, it is usually very busy and a bottle of water is $5, not including tip  It is a great dance club though, good mix of everything from dance, electronica, hip hop and house. It is a mix of younger 20somethings and although meat market-y not the worst it vegas, meaning your wife should be ok if you need to go to the bathroom.

If you are looking for something more upscale you can try the Mixx at the Hotel at Mandalay Bay. This ultra lounge is fairly new in the LV scene but appears to be popular among a certain type of crowd. I have been there a couple times since it opened a few months ago. It is on the top floor of the Hotel at Mandalay Bay. Beautiful red and black asian-esq decor with a glass wall that offers an amazing view. There is also a deck that you can walk out on to be outside in the very windy wind. A screwdriver will cost you $9.

If you have the time and want a little vegas nostalgia, head to downtown, Freemont street area. This is where the Golden Nugget is, Binions Horseshoe and all those other old school hotels are. There is a large promenade with street vendors and artists and on the weekend they usually have a stage set up with live music. Tell your wife to make sure her purse is secure though. There is a large canopy over the promenade that displays a huge light show every 15? 30? minutes, kinda cool to see. This is the place where you can get a plastic football full of beer for like $8.

LOL and as for easy drinking, it is possible, I don't really drink. I haven't had one in like 4 months, I usually wind up being designated driver while my fiance get's plastered.

I will pm you my number, feel free to call if you have any questions.

Check out Blue Man Group at the Luxor. It's very close to NY NY.

The show is awesome. You'll have lots of fun.

Thanks again everyone & Miss Kim, I'll take a look and see how much Blue Man Group stuff is going for.

It's supposedly a 12 hour drive from Colorado to Vegas I think I can make it in 10! We're spending 5 days so we just wanna make sure we don't waste our time.

Blue Man group was around $90.00. More if you wanted better seats.
Also, do the Hoover Dam tour. It's only $25.00 per person and they pick you up in a coach bus at your hotel. Or you can drive to it yourself. It's not too far.

We also did the Grand Canyon tour. Very Cool! That's an all day thing. A bus picks you up at your hotel and takes you to a small airport where you board a small airplane and land very close to the Grand Canyon. $100.+ per person which included a buffet lunch.

Enjoy your trip!
