Heck I am not even sure why they nominated him for Collateral!! There was absolutely nothing special about his performance. There was certainly no challenging part to his role. Oh well.....one of them mysteries of life perhaps.

as much as i think eastwood deserved best director. i still wanted scorcese to finally win won. the man has made so many good movies. they just dont invoke the waterworks like the acadamy awards wants
