where Its against the Law to Pump your own gas?????????
thats the most insanest craziest thing I have ever heard in my entire life!
I agree!! I would rather do it myself, since I know I will not "top-off" the tank ( they always try to round to the nearest 50 cents or $1), and I can guarantee that I will not spill any drops of gas on the side of the car

There is a reason for that in New Jersey, and it is rather insane. You're going to laugh at this, but a rather knowledgeable professor of mine once told us as part of a lesson. New Jersey has a very large population of disabled individuals. The reason for this, if I remember correctly, is because the healthcare system (healthcare in general) in the state of New Jersey is such that it creates favorable conditions for disabled people (better healthcare, cheaper, less taxes overall, I might be missing something). These people have a rather large political voice in New Jersey then, as you can imagine. They frequently lobby for this or that bill to be passed in favor of people with disabilities. Somewhere along the way, it was decided that it would be better for "qualified" gas station personnel to pump gasoline (it would be "safer" that way for all). And thus it came to be in the state of New Jersey that the average citizen is not "qualified" to pump his own gas. Plus is creates a few more jobs. So there you have it.
On the plus side, diox -- some parts of NJ, particularly South Jersey, have very cheap gasoline compared to the rest of the tri-state area. I used to fill up all the time when I worked in Jersey. Enjoy it.
If you need a visual explanation of why that law came to be in NJ -- here you go:
