I've cleared the 300 yard driving range a couple times using my friends greatest big bertha, 10.5 ultra stiff shaft. I would guess it went about 350-375. On the course I used to hit a straight 550 yard par 5 in 2, second shot with a 3 wood.

Tiger woods and that british kid, who just vanished off the scene after playing in the british open, aside whenever I think of golf I think of retirement. Looks like the perfect thing to do on a lazy summer sunday morning but for now I'll stick to mini golf :P

At sea level, in the desert, or at altitude? Hehe.

I go on annual weekend golf trips with a bunch of friends and we were in Scottsdale, AZ, a couple years ago when I almost drove a 390-yard par 4 using an Orlimar Hip Ti 8.5 driver. I was 2 yards short of the front of the green, so I figure it was about 375 yards. I want to say it was at Estrella Mountain Ranch, but I could be wrong. That beats anything I've done at altitude in Colorado or Reno, NV.

Much closer to sea level around here, I don't usually get much further than 275-280, though most of the muni courses don't require driver in the first place.

437 in Tiger Woods 2005. In real golf about 215 (in the bush).
