Conservative or Liberal?

Are you a conservative or a liberal in your political/social views?
Based on these 2 definitions I would be a conservative:
- One who believes in less government being better government.
- One who believes in such "outmoded" ideas as civil liberties (freedom of speech, separation of church and state, right to keep and bear arms, that kind of thing)

If you go by this definition of liberal:
Technically, someone who falls to the left in a political system, who believes in government programs (healthcare is a good example, as is welfare) and a larger scope of government, also favors monitoring of business and protection of constitutional rights. Someone who believes that the federal government should have more importance than state government, I would not qualify as a liberal.

This definition does not apply either: being in favour of more government control of economic actions (such as making minimum wage laws), but less governmental control of personal actions (such as allowing protesting)

I guess I'm a conservative.

Another funny definition I found on being liberal: Loves to talk about opinions, but gets all upset when other people's opinions differ from their own. I know a few people on here just like that

So what are you?

It would perhaps be important to point out that Republican/Democrat is NOT an indicator of conservatism. Republican's are socially conservative but economically liberal (these days). Democrats are socially liberal and economically conservative (these days).

I'm conservative in most senses... but probably moderate overall.

I'm whatever I think is best, depending on the issue at hand. People who talk to me would probably call me conservative, though.

I can't say I'm on either side. To be honest, I think that limiting yourself to either one of two political parties is a sign of ignorance.

No offense to anyone here who might be extremely "left" or "right". I like many views from each side.

Eat right, exercise regularly, die anyway.

To be more accurate, I'm economically conservative and MOSTLY socially conservative. But for example, I'd never want to overturn RvW.
