I will tell you guys what, i never thought that being in the guard would see soo much action. I can't really talk about it, but I am really lucky to have come back intact :?

How long were you gone? Why can't you talk about it? I ask because the 14 months my company was in country, we can talk about it all...
But welcome back!

yeah i did, but man the military just isn't a career for me. Don't get me wrong, i really enjoyed serving our country and doing my job, but after going through actual fighting and seeing what i have seen.... i can't seem to think that this is really what i want to do for the rest of my life.

I think everyone though should serve their country at one point in their life. either through civilian work or through military action.... serving your country really makes you appreciate what indeed a privilage you have every morning when you wake up to freedom

Welcome back...good to see you made it out in one piece.

Is that a personal decision or a military rule? (sorry if I sound like I'm prying...just curious).

heh... my missions werent classified. I'm an MP, so we were really helping out convoys and doing support stuff. Its more of a personal thing, I am trying to let it go - its not easy, especially when you have come under enemy fire twice now
