If you're an engineering student...(funny)

If you're an engineering student like me, (and would believe that there are a lot of engineers who like girls even more than cars) then I think you can appreciate this article from this guy Burt Helm at Yale.

Anybody else tired of going to a sausage-party like me (at Drexel University)?

That's funny. I have graduated from engineering school, but here at Mizzou there are plenty of women to go around. That's the nice thing about going to a large university. Plenty of hotties. Joining a fraternity helps as well because you are always around sorority girls.

I went to RIT and it was quite the sausage fest... the saddest part was, I actually got USED to going to parties where guys outnumbered girls 2:1. Now that I'm in the real world it's a surprise to see a 50/50 mix!

I somewhat have that problem. When we really need to study me and my male friends get a locked room in the library and stop looking at anything but books. It sucks, but it has to be done. If I need to get away, I look outside the library.

Most parties I go to are pretty good split, but I don't hang out with many engineers anymore. All my friends that started out as engineering, are now 6th year pych majors or something like that. We have something like a 2:1 girl to guy ratio overall, but I would guess 1:5 in engineering.

The vast majority of girls in engineering are butch anyway :P Especially ones in mechanical, civil or aerospace engineering. At least that is the case in my university. We have dedicated buildings for different programs so it is entirely possible you can spend an entire semester on one end of the campus. However, semesters where we do end up having classes in the arts (journalism, linguistics, etc, etc) or science buildings it's like being in a completely different world. Like one of the guys in my program says 'the 15 min walk to the other end of the campus is totally worth it cause of ALL THESE HOT CHICKS'

And I too never socialize with engineering students outside of school-time.

There weresome hot chicks in my Civil progam at Mizzou. There was also some hot mechanicals and bio-mechanicals. I noticed every year the girls would get better looking and better looking. I TA'ed for a class once and damn I wanted to date a few of Civils in that class. Although, the J-school and busniness chicks were always the hottest.

^^^

Did they get a free ride their entire 4 years of engineering?? Cause over here, in the computer and electrical engineering program the decent looking girls are always having their asses kissed by geeky dudes.

Also, there is this girl in the civil program at my uni....not good looking from any angle but she has the hugest tatas and all decked out, all the time. There are guys hovering around her like bees around a flower. She use to work at the station adjacent to mine in one of my labs and she would always be able to get help on how to do the experiments. It's another matter I use to leech off her once she leeched off them :P

undergraduate engineering society at ubc lets underage students buy beer somestimes

they use an acronym ERTW.......engineers rule the world
and they like to make words into something that has to do with sex or stuff like that
elections -> erections
something called a sex box.......forgot what it was
awards for like drinking a lot of beer without going to washroom and stuff in like an hour
and also awards for doing engineering stunts stuff..including an award if you get injured during it :S

do they have stuff like this at other universities?
