Hey Guys,

I was wondering, what you guys thought of it. What are your opinions? I'm thinking about buying one. Is it worth the money? I heard it was the most bought gift this Christmas, and I was wondering what all the hubbub is all about.

Thanks!
Geoff

It is worth the money over the other large mp3 players, for the simple reason that it has the best interface. Going thru 5k files is a bitch if done improperly, and the iPod does it right.

Enjoy your spahgetti, you're very rude.

i own the 10 gig ipod (not being made any more--the 15 gig replaced it) i really like my ipod, its probably the best portable mp3 device i've ever had (my previous one was a 32 megabyte RIO one--the thing held about 5-6 songs as most)...

i def. enjoy the ipod--it was a worth while investment, the thing i don't really like is the battery life feels a little short, but over all i'm glad i got it.

I've had my 20gig iPod for a bit over a year now and I love it. The interface is absolutely wonderful, as already mentioned. It's great to have my entire music collection with me where ever I go. I usually throw it in my bag that I take to work, or the suitcase when I'm traveling.

I haven't looked very closely at some of the closer competitors, like Dell's MP3 player so I don't know about their interface. They do look like a comparable device, though. I had actually started using iTunes on my PC before getting my iPod so I wanted to keep with the iDevices.

Check out Amazon.com... they usually have a decent price.

I would say it is worth it. The interface is the best and it is built well. I don't know how many times I've dropped the thing and nothing but small scratches in the chrome. Also, check for education discount when ordering. $299 for mini and $364 for 20GB in Canadian.

I haven't been without an iPod since the beginning, and I would never be without one in the future.

If you listen to a lot of music, or just to music a lot, it's worth it in every way.

The UI is great, as everyone has said. Having it as a spare harddrive for those emergency backups is also great. I use it when I walk to class, when I am on a long road trip, flights, and I use it especially in my car.

Just think ... never have to use a CD in your car again.

It's fantastic. The quality is perfect. iTunes kicks the ass of any other jukebox software out there. GET ONE!

Ditto to everything already said...

Just to add though......the scroll/click wheel on the ipod is like the greatest invention since the wheel itself. I went with the mini cause I wanted the sleek aluminum cover rather than the white plastic. I do wish it had more space than the 4gb it has though(and it will.....with Hitachi releasing it's 10gb mini mini HD). Battery life for me has been pretty damn good especially since I never get the opportunity to listen to it for extended periods of time in any one go.

Just to conclude, I love my ipod so much that I am actually thinking of converting to apple altogether in the form of their power notebooks in a couple year's time.

the ipod is great. i have a 20 gig one and so far i have about 660 songs on it, and thats only 2.9 gigs used. i've taken out all my cds in my car, so its cleaner looking. there is one thing that you should look at midnight is this ipod modulator on http://www.mp3yourcar.com you can hook it up to your factory stereo and use the controls on your steering wheel to control the ipod. $199.99 US......im really thinkin about it, but right now i got no flow. but check out the site, its a dope idea.
