Yeah, I was reading an article about those. Totally neat, but really ugly.

This picture makes it look as though the car is floating.

I saw an article on this technology in the New York Times last month. It went into greater detail about the techology and the stage of development it is in. If it does come to the market, it won't be for another several years. Some of the things they need to work on are rolling resistance and noise. Nevertheless, cool stuff.

yeah i think those pic are just to show it works but i think it would look just like a normal tire once its done.

Would they be the same width as regular tires. If not how would that corner?

They are supposed to corner much better than conventional pnuematic tires since there is less lateral flex with these tires.

Anybody else get the feeling these things are going to cost some power on the road? They seem to be able to comform to the road, so they are absorbing alot of energy. >friction = >handling = <power.

Physics experts, your opinions please.
