Anybody's company looking for a Bio major? OH preferably.

My g/f is graduating in June with a BS in Biology, concentration in Environmental Science. Took classes in OSHA regs and Organic Chemistry.

She's currenly a Bio Lab assistant on campus and is work in an wildlife rehab center. Likes to work with animals... as in animal rehabilitation. She works well with others. Friendly, smart, self motivated, able to work in groups or alone with little or no supervision. She is willing to work outside or in a lab.

Preferably SW Ohio, ~1hr from Dayton area. (If it's further away she'll still look into it)

She has one job offer she might have to turn down, because it will not pay enough for full time and it's killing her. So, if anyone can help me out. I'll be her hero And I'll owe you one.

She has dropped resumes at P&G and IAMs with no response back yet. If you work for a company that's looking to hire a Biologist/Chemist/Enviro Scientist please PM me your referal info. She's a hard worker and has 3+ Mazda3's worth of debt to pay off.

I've given her a list of places to look, but I haven't found much hiring right now.

Check out all the colleges and universities in your area. I'm a microbiology major and those are her best bets for a job to start out in. After rereading your post, it sounds like she has some experience already in working in a lab. She already has a head start on a lot of people. Tell her to apply for every lab position she an find. I did that and had 4 interviews 8) of which I was offered 3 positions.

Imigrate to Perth, Western Australia. There is a massive resources boom in this state. Lowest unemployment rate for like the past 15-20 years. Not enough skilled workers around and companies have begun outsourcing job overseas just to get them done.

PS: You might want to consider this as a last resort

bottom line, she should look into everything. My wife is a biology major, and it was tough for her to find any decent jobs around here (NY). She's found work at a couple Pharmaceutical companies but nothing major. She's currently working on getting her Master's. We both hope that will help her land a better job.

I feel for you bro! I wish you and your woman the best of luck!

She's already been to Australia. She's got some friends down there. I could work from home... but long distance phone calls would be a PITA.

Well, although she would be hot in uniform... I doubt she'd want to go for OCS.

We have Wright Patt. here. But she doesn't know anyone that could tell her who/where to look for civillian jobs for the Air Force.
