Whats In Santa Barbara, California?
Ok, since I live in Carpinteria (10 minutes south of SB) and work in SB, I believe I can field some of these questions. First, SBCC is one of the top-rated community colleges in the state, and it sits atop two cliffs which overlook the harbor and a nice beach. Second, as for night life, since you're too young to drink legally, Isla Vista will be your best bet for a good hangout. Also, since it does have some of the best weather available, with the exception of this winter, outdoor activities are king. If you enjoy the beach, you won't be sad when it's sunny. The main downside, aside from the lack of real late-night (after 1 or 2 am) activities, is housing cost. You can count on some serious cash every month to keep a roof over your head. Actually, it's not all that different from San Diego in most respects. If you have any more questions about Santa Barbara, feel free to IM me, my contact info is in my profile.
