WelP ! After MUCH research and nearly four months of waiting for my factory order Mazda3 to arrive, I pulled out due to poor customer relations and "the wait" . I have decided to purchase a 'loaded' 2000 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 ExtCab TRD w/ABS. I should get it on the 28th of December. Can't WAIT !!

The 98 Beemer was nice but it was going to cost over 19000 with tax. Then extra insurance, extra gas, and extra fixes. In five years the Mazda would be worth about 12000. The beemer about 6000. The cost worked out to be about the same between the two. I wrote a long shpEEl about it, but it's gone now.

When I'm 45-50ish, I hope to buy a brand new M3 if they are still being made. That way, I'll know the maintenance history. Thank you for remembering. I'll always miss not having a Mazda3, but a loaded Toyota Taco isn't too bad for a second choice.

Well hey maybe Mazda will get their act together in a few years so once you're done with the Tacoma you can finally get a 3 hassle free.

I don't blame you for getting another car. I've been waiting for four months for my car...one more month to go! I'd be lying if I said that I haven't been researching other cars. But everytime I do, I just keep coming back to the Mazda3.

Good luck with your new truck Research Boy, I like the Tacoma a lot.

From a 3 to a Tacoma? They aren't even in the same class. What was the initiative behind that move besides the 4 month wait.

Dude...in about a year from now you'll be kicking yourself for buying a Tacoma...they are bulletproof, yes, but they are just about the most boring thing to drive on the road.

The good news is their resale values are excellent
