As if enough hasn't gone wrong this week, I woke up this morning to find that the AIM account I use for most of my real life friends and such was disabled by AOL. To be specific, when you sign onto it it now says "Sign on Blocked, click here for more information."
You click there, it brings you to a page with 4 "possible" reasons for this message. The first 2 are irrellevant as they apply only to full AOL members (which I am one, but this SN is AIM only), the next 2 are either you violated the TOS (not likely) or you're marked as under 13 years of age. It provides a link to verify your age.
Well, you click that link, try to sign on to verify, and its telling me wrong username or password. There's no way I'm using either the wrong username or password, and just to be safe I've tried every pw I can think of that I use.
AOL doesn't offer phone or live chat support to AIM members, even if they have AOL accounts. I did finally get my hands on an AIM e-mail support address ([email protected]
) but have not yet heard back.
This is killin me.
Also, flipped sent me this link, but at least this guy was able to do the age verification:
