Car and Driver's 10 Best 2005

I got home (from an exhilarating drive!!!!) to find a new Car and Driver in the mailbox... This time it's the 10 best issue for 2005.

Cars that made it this year were (in alphabetical order):
  • * Acura RL
    * Acura TSX
    * BMW 3-series/M3
    * Chevrolet Corvette (C6)
    * Chrysler 300/300C Hemi
    * Dodge Magnum
    * Ford Mustang GT
    * Honda Accord
    * Mazda RX-8
    * M-Benz SLK350[/list:u]

    Is it just me, but is this one of the worst 10 best lists ever? C&D used to be able to recommend cars from all classes (assuming that they have a broad reader demographic), but there are no reps from the very class that the Mazda3 comes from (lest you buy a stripper Honda Accord)... Oh well.

    The Mazda3 and/or 6 did not make the list this year b/c they didn't make the list last year. sux0rs...

The Mazda 6 should've atleast made it, instead of the Accord

Mazdas are so under-appreciated! My mom's husband loved my 3 when I took it visiting a few weeks ago... I think he'll be in the market for a 6 when his car finally dies!

C&D has had the Accord on it's list every since they came up with it so no.........they're not putting the 6 in there. The other car that has shown up the most is the bimmer 3 series. They usually do stick a few american made cars in their list too......I am assuming to keep the masses at bay.

Titanium Grey Mazda3 GT w/ GFX, leather and Sparco pedals

WTF?

That list does suck. I'm tired of car magazine lists.

WTF?

They're saying that either of these three:
Chrysler 300/300C Hemi
Dodge Magnum
Ford Mustang GT

are better than the Infiniti G35 (which was on the list last year but isn't this year)???

Weird. :?

The Mz6 made it the first year it came out (2 years ago I think), but failed last year. Accords are always a shoe in... even the Focus has made the list 5 times, including last year O.O ... something like C&D praised the model lines flexibility in offering so many different choices. The 6 should have beat out the Accord for the very same reason.
