My friend recently signed himself up to be an Independent Business Operator for Quxitar. If you are not familiar with this company, its one of those multi level marketing deals. Anyway, my friend jumped into this thing with not one ounce of research. All he did was go to a few "seminars" and he was sold.
I personally think, after research, that this Quixtar thing is a scheme for the "man" to get rich.
Im just lookin for some comments, arguments, thoughts, whatever about this "cult" any of you may know.

Any connection between my reality and yours is purely coincidental.

The reality is that with those "get rich quick" schemes they usually work well, for a short period of time only. Like most of those companies they usually end up going into the ground and a few smart people manage to sell out before this happens.

Is that like a pyramid scheme where everyone at the bottom thinks they're getting money because they see a small gain immediately but the only one who really cashes in is the guy at the top?

Uh no. Truth is this not a pyramid scheme. I thought it was when I first found out about it and did some research of my own. Its basically an online spin off of Amway. Now since Amway was founded in the 50's or 60's and has been investigated by the govt for being a pyramid numerous times, and has never once been convicted in about 50 years suggests that its not a pyramid and is legal. I know a few people that got involved about 8 years ago and were earning in excess of 300K/yr so its not the first people in that make the money, its those that work their asses off. Its a good opportunity but I passed, I'm too lazy and don't have the right personality for it. It'll work for some people and won't for others, but its legit.

That hardly suggests that! It might or might not be a pyramid scheme company but just cause it keeps winning against the government's doesn't necessarily mean it isn't.

Pyramid marketing is illegal. If they indeed practice that, they would've been shut down long ago.

Btw, if you guys are unsure about how companies do businesses or to see complaints, etc, check them out first at www.bbb.com.

I think the politically correct term they use for this crap is "multi-level marketing." I guess they dont want to upset the ancient Egyptians by using pyramid so negatively.
