immortal question

hey you guys watch highlander ya? well anyway i was just wondering, if an immortal were to not eat for say.... 3 years, they'd die of hunger over and over, and come back to life again... but would they lose their body fat? cuz according to the show they don't seem to get fatter or skinnier. also since duncan like has sex with everyone, he's got to have some sort of disease by now, how does immortality get rid of herpes...

There are some flaws to the story line. Like in the 1st movie, Connor is pushed into lake and sinks to the bottom. He doesn't drown but walks across the bottom of the lake playing with the fish. Maybe they wouldn't die from not eating, just be really hungry for 3 years.

the 2nd movie was horrible..they totally changed the story on the immortals. they went from being born on earth in the 1st movie, to being from a different planet in the 2nd, and then back to being born on earth for the rest of the movies.

yup, that's why i stick to the series... i just found this out the other day, but the episodes where duncan kills richy... where duncan's fighting evil. that evil came from a statue... and it just happens to be the same exact statue used from the exorcist...oooo creepy

So if Duncan get's a virus of some sort, and the viruses are using his body's cells to reproduce more viruses (if you know basic biology and how viruses work), given that by some sort of twisted logic, shouldn't the new batch of viruses inherit some of Duncan's immortality, since they are using his immortal body matter to reproduce?

 OMG, immortal viruses. That'd be like the ultimate germ wareful. Viruses that couldn't be killed or die naturally. We'd have to call this new breed of super viruses, Duncanitis or something like that. :P

The virus could die... you would just need to inject some nanites to cut their f'ing heads off.

Eat right, exercise regularly, die anyway.

OMG, then people infected with these immortal viruses would be experiencing little electrical shocks to their system as the viruses killed each other off. I remember in the TV series, when a quickening occured, there were lightening bolts and crap shooting everywhere. And at the rate that viruses reproduce (and probably kill each other off), you'd have people lighting up like lightbulbs.....or floundering about and drooling from the electrical shocks.
