Yep so my car go nailed during the Hurricane. All of the shingles from our apartment came off and scratched up every car in the lot.

Here's the result.

Starting with the scratched bumper, it's worse than it looks.

Onto the A-Pillar and windshield. Again it's worse than it looks. It looks like someone so a belt sander to the body of the car.

Question, does Act of God still require me to pay a $500 deductable?

I heard some comedian saying that man has been trying to prove the existence of God for thousands of years, so why is it all of a sudden that the insurance man knows He exists? I wouldn't say that is an Act of God, its more like some roofing tiles fell onto your car. I know that the insurance people won't go with that, but its the truth. Sorry about it man.

I had that feeling. It's very insignificant for damage, but it is damage. I called allstate and they made an appointment for an adjustor to take a look. If it's under $500 I'm just going to get it done myself, but try and have the complex pay for it.

They're fun to walk around in. Me, My GF and my friend were out until the wind hit around 70 then we went back in.

Thankfully, our power never went out, but we saw transformers blowing up all over the complex. Lit up the sky blue and red for a good 3 hours.

At least I can say to my grandkids someday that I survived a hurricane.

my parents are there right now on vacation.

They left on saturday to orlando and while they were in the air, officials closed the orlando airport. They got re-routed to st. petersburg and had to drive to their destination.

Sorry about your car Nathan, was your car the worst hit in your complex? It looks bad.

Well, I'm going to get it looked at today and if I don't get anything for it, I'm going to to talk to the landlord about it.
