Calling Home Owners - Where'd ya get your mortgage???

So my wife and I are looking at buying a house this fall and are starting to look for a mortgage company. Has anyone had any good / bad expereience w/ any companies in the Mid-west? Has anyone tried any of the Internet based (e-Loan, LendingTree) loan companies? Any advise for first time home buyers would be appreciated! Thanks.

Countrywide Home Loans. They were decent....we have a 7 year ARM at 3.25%. Oh, you can ask about first time homeowner loans. We tried that route but apparently we make too much money.
