That is SWEET!!! Glad the kid's father was helpful more than defensive! I would have guessed the father would be fighting back despite how his son cheated people of their money. That is an awesome story!!! Thx to share it!

Yeah. Good thing his father was a cop and was able to help so much...it must have really sucked to be that kid. Oh well, I guess thats what you get when you cheat people.

I haven't been on Probetalk since I purchased my Mazda3. Probetalk is a great forum with a lot of knowledgable members and I kind of miss it.

I still can't believe the dad was a state trooper. You can't beat that.

You have a Ford Probe? What year, model, color etc? My boyfriend's probe is a 95' Sea Foam probe GT...if you go back a little while I took photos w/ my car and his--let me know what you think if you happen to glance over the photos.

I wish I could have been so lucky. I've only gotten ripped off on PO Boxes. But only for $50...

I used to be on PT.com LONG ago... Left after my poor Probe was totaled. How are they doing over there now?

Hope we don't hear anyone in this forum post a story about being ripped off j/k guys

I dunno how PT.com is going, but I'm going to guess pretty well since I see my bf on it regularly just posting away. Have you ever thought about getting another probe? (this comment is to either to LowMileLude or crazydriver) I love my bf's probe, I've driven it a little bit and its a lot of fun...his car is a manual and while he claims I can drive manual and he just needs to get me on the road...I'm still a little skeptal but oh well

I own a 96 Ford Probe SE. Here's a pic of both

Every second generation Probe owner I met loved their Probe. I haven't met one who hated it. Most people prefer to buy another Probe over a new vehicle. I don't think they ever sat in a Mazda3. I still think the Probe is more fun to drive than the Mazda3, but the ride is soo much smoother in the Mazda3. I like the fact in the Probe that the gas cap is on the driver's side. I like the fact that the Probe is lower to ground and is a coupe. I'm pretty sure the Probe has a lower drag coefficient too. Also, in the Probe there is no blind spots. I like the Probe's horn better than the 3. However, the Mazda3 over so much more luxories, I can't stand driving Probe for a long trip. The bad thing about the Probe is that if a repair is needed it is very expensive. Probe's MAF gets dirty quickly and that causes performance issues. Also, it has two oxygen sensors that usually needs replaced when people hit about 100k miles. My probe has about 130k miles on it and still runs like new. I wouldn't buy a 93-95 probe. Most older probe's usually have fading paint issues. The probe is very hard to find modification parts for. I hope Mazda3 will be very easy to find aftermarket parts.
