Give me one politician that isn't a lying ass. It is usually voting for the lesser of the two evils.

Bush's biggest problem is that he is a re.... ops, gotta wait a few more months before I can say that.

Clinton was a cool Pres.
I live in Northern Virginia, the Iraq war was very necessary. 9/11 was an eye opening revelation of what terrorists and terrorist-friendly regimes are capable of if you let them flaunt their hatred for too long. My only regret is that we didn't finish the job in '91.

Ya, we are going to mobilize a nation to fight a war for the benefit of one corporation. If you think that idea is nuts, that's because it is. Why someone would even imply as such is beyond me.

WWIII? How do you gather that? You think China is going to start a war with the biggest market for its exports, stiffle its economic boom, and risk loosing Taiwan forever just because US is doing what every other sizable nation power in the world is doing? No, what China wanted to do is to drag the thing out, make the US "lose face", which it accomplished. But we were never in danger of WWIII.

Trashed the UN? How about we couldn't get the UN to turn around form their greedy and corrupt orgy of sifting funds from the oil-for-food program? Why else was France and Germany so vehemently against going to war in Iraq despite over a decade of security council resolution violations. Now we know. The UN is a corrupt organization with no accountability. A bunch of limp-dicks that pulled out of Iraq at the first sign of trouble. Impotent fools.

Clinton was such a cool president that he commited adultery, lied under oath to a grand jury, was impeached, de-bared, watched over as the likes of Enron commited accounting fraud in 1999 and 2000, and as the tech bubble burst in march of 2000, sending the economy into a recession.

You are forgiven for your ignorance because, after all, you are in Canada.

I know Michael Moore has his spin on everything, but regardless, after seeing that film, you would want to drop a bomb on Washington if you could. Bush is not a bright person, innoncent kids are being shot and killed in Iraq daily, along with many innocent Iraqi's. There is much to be gained from the Iraq war finanically, if your in denial your retarted, IMO thats the reason we're there.

I have no idea if Bush is bright or not because I've never had the opportunity to size him up one on one. Perhaps making a judgment on his intelligence based on media biased isn't the best thing to do. I know he has some bright people advising him like Dr. Rice. Her credentials are impressive. If she told me she thought there were issues in Iraq I would listen to her too. I also know he has access to more information than we ever will.

I won't disagree that wars are financially beneficial. Why do you think Japan and Germany did their little dance 65 years ago? Everyone seems to forget that this hole dweller needed to be eliminated for other reasons, like gassing thousands of the Kurds or killing countless Kuwaiti's. He helped make the area even more unstable than it already was. As someone else said, we should have finished the job in '91.

By the way, any one else see an article about the Clinton presidency linking Saddam and al Qaeda? Funny how most media outlets didn't pick it up. Here is one I saw: http://www.washingtontimes.com/natio...2921-3401r.htm

There's money in war. If there were money in ass picking, the government would be involved in it. Think about it man...
To paraphrase George Carlin, America loves to declare war on everything and anything; it's in Her people's nature. The country has declared war on (fill in the blank freely), yet it hasn't declared war on homelessness; there's no money in it.
I saw Farenheit 911 a few days ago, and it's the "feel-good movie of the year."
Hope you catch a bit of the humor in this post and reply in kind.

The war was inevitible, we would have NEVER been able to extract ourselves from the Middle east with Saddam (or his sons) in power. It was only our large troop presence to enforce the UN Sanctions (that Saddam had repeatedly used as toilet paper) and protect Saudi Arabia & Kuwait from Iraqi invasion that kept Saddam from controlling 75% of middle eastern oil and charging whatever he wants for it.

Haliburton got buttloads of these contracts in the last administration too, I suppose that Dick Cheney was pulling Clinton's strings too?

We didn;t even raise defcon! We got our plane and crew back and we have kept flying the patrols that China wanted stopped. Sounds like he was pretty successful there.

As opposed to France who used their veto power to block any resolution authorizing force no matter how many sanctions were voilated, because they could, oh yeah and they were owed billions from Iraq and stood to make billinons more if Saddam was able to rebuild hil millitary, which is why they had pressed for the lifting of sanctions every year since the mid 90s even though Iraq had not complied with most of what they agreed to and had thrown out the inspectors for several years)

As opposed to "depends on the definition of the word "is"" attitude??

Better a dufus with a backbone than a spineless perjurer.

FTR I hate Dubya and I'm not voting for him in the Fall, but I'm a lot more concerned with his trampling of civil rights and his being controlled by the religious right, the Iraq war was one of the few things he did right.

I've gotta get in my two cents here...In February of 2002 I walked the the 3 mile circle around ground zero....It was a very eery feeling looking up and seeing a lot of sky where there should have been two large skyscrapers.....The typical noises of NYC were not even permiating down in that area....it was pretty much dead silence.....the last piece of the towers was still standing at that point and the clean up was still going on....power was still out and there were many businesses and buildings closed and condemmed....It is hopefully the closest I ever come to the results of war....yes I said war...cause on September 11, 2001 war was declared by everyone who would ever think or car bombings and flying planes into buildings to kill innocent people.....Saddam Hussein is one of these people...a man no a monster who bombs his own citizens with chemical weapons.....once you go there then there is no telling where you go next.....If in WWII, someone had the guts like Bush to go after Hitler before he did the damage he did, it could have saved millions of lives...so the next time you criticise Bush, think of the lives he probably saved.

(Fast forward to February 2005)

President Kerry gets done unpacking his gear at the White House, sits down on the easy chair, looks around and thinks to himself, "OK, now what the hell do I do?"

Has anyone heard what Kerry has for a platform? I mean, besides "Get Bush out of the White House"? You might want to consider that before you hit the polling booth.

Raising taxes is one of his main points. Of course hs says he will "raise taxes for the wealthiest Americans" but conveniently neglects to define what makes one one of those "weathiest Americans" It's my suspicion he's talking about families who have a combined household income of more that $40,000.
