Tested all out acceleration of my HB

as i was getting on the highway last night, there was a woman in an old merc tracer, and she was taking forrrrrever to get up to speed. as i was getting annoyed, i figured i would just wait for her to get over and give my friend a thrill. as soon as she got out of the way, i punched it in second gear with about 4500 on the tach. the rush was great and soon i was in fourth going about 80. for whatever reason, i kinda yelled out jokingly "have you ever gone 100?" and to my surprise, my friend replied with a loud no and a big grin...so off we went. the car pulled in fourth right up to 100 and it felt great. he was very very impressed at how stable it felt...he kept commenting on it all night. so, it was quite a rush, and i couldnt believe how easily this car gets to triple digits...

if you can find a safe place to do it, i highly recommend it!

of course, since speeding is illegal, this was just a ficticious account ( )

Your friend sounds like he's led a VERY sheltered life.

I took an RX-8 up to 120 on a 10 minute test drive.

I can just imagine the look on the salesman's face when he noticed you were at triple digits. Or did they trust you to test drive the 30k car by yourself? Either way, nice, give the new rotary an Italian tune-up

my buddy's dad has an 89 300z turbo, but he drives it like he probably bangs his wife...slow and uncoordinated. so yeah, he has led a sheltered life.

Funny had a guy in a 3 sedan trying to race me last night in Downtown traffic.??? LOL..... Didn't even mess with him. Didn't want to make him look dumber in front of his gf.

No salesman, just my buddy in the navigator's seat. And yes, he about shat himself when I told him how fast we were going. You can't see the speedo from the other seat and the car is sooooo smooth.

I hit 111 mph this morning. Very fast, very smooth. Very bad idea. I suggest that unless you have lots of open highway, no cops and lots of gas money, don't even attempt it. I probably will not do so again. Too dangerous.

i went to the beach last wknd with my girlfriend for a little family retreat. hadn't really got my 3 out on the highway for a long drive since breaking it in. granted i already knew in how much of a hurry 100 comes but i hadn't had a chance to cruise around at a high rate of speed for a long time. let's just say you can cruise at 100+ mph on empty back roads for a long long time without feeling like you're driving over 100. if you push it just a little the 118mph fuel cut off come with the quickness as well. that was my girlfriend's only indicator we were really flying.

anyway, it was nice but not something that should be done in highway traffic by any stretch of the imagination.

have fun but don't be stupid

what's the use of feet if you don't have legs?

too bad you guys have this cut off sh*t and cops all over..
my 3 is 1.6 manual transmission, and on the highway i reach 180 km (112mph) at 4th gear, even before getting it to the 5th..

around here, while going with 135 mph, it's not too rare to have someone after you flashing to get you out of the left lane..and he aint driving a ferrari or smt..just another car without a cut off and with a reckless driver..
