Scared of creepy crawlies?

Are you scared of any creepy crawlies?

I'll admit that spiders bug me. I don't run away from them terror, but my initial reaction is to squish 'em. No matter how often I try to vacuum and clean my house, no matter how much weather proofing I have (seals in doors & windows), and no matter how often I've fumagated their favorite hiding places, they end up sneaking in somehow.

I'll also admit, that on the rare occasion that one crawls onto me and I discover it, I immediately do the jumpy-slap-hand dance. In my mind, one tiny spider can become a hundred more that I didn't see on my person. I've gotten enough spider bites in my sleep to know that even the non-lethal kind can leave an awful sore that takes weeks to heal.

So what about you guys?

Scared of creepy crawlies?

I still catch bugs and garter snakes and such like I did when I was a kid.

My fiance is terrified of spiders though. Just recently we were sitting on the couch and a spider came down right between us, suspended from the cathedral ceiling. Sent her running with her screaming to me "Kill it! Kill it!" Heh

Did have a possum hanging out in the backyard this winter. Wasn't really scared of it, just gave it...respect...and looked all over before stepping outside

big furry catapillars. They're just, I dunno, scary especially when they are ALL over a tree. Spiders too, freak me out when they're the juicy kind.

Another vote for roaches - never saw them in Canada but moved to NYC apartment and voila! Not afraid - there's just something basically disgusting about them. I guess maybe because they were here long before we were, and probably will be long after.

But I was told to get used to them - because no way to get rid of them - and if you aggravate yours, they will move next door.

I got to admit that the damn buck toothed rodent critters is what I can do without.

When I was a kid I got bit by a squirrel, right through the pointer on my right hand. Hurt like hell. Almost had to go through the rabies shot series which back then was something like 16 shots into your stomach. Ever since then I haven't liked buck toothed critters. Being from Alabama, it means I didn't like many people either. :-)

Only KIDDING of course on that last part.

Roaches are just damn disgusting so I guess I don't like them either.

My vote goes to rodents. I cannot stand mice or rats. They are dirty, filthy and their long tails really creep me out for some reason. If I see one I will scream like a little girl.

I'm not a big fan of bugs either and I'd definetely have a problem with roaches. Spiders are ok though... they take care of all the other bugs... in way.. they're helping you out.
