Discovery Channel: Show called "Street Racing"

Did anybody catch this show @9pm PST on the Discovery Channel?

I'm not sure if they're going to do a series on it, but I think the show has potential. I think that maybe it'll help those "kids" on the street take their races to the track which would IMHO make things better for everyone who enjoys driving cars.

For those of you who missed the show, it's similar to a lot of other reality based shows that Discovery Channel is well known for. Two drivers take their cars to two teams of car tuners, who have 36 hours to build (or rebuild) their car into an ultimate street/drag machine.

This show had a souped up Honda (Turbocharged B16 engine) vs. an AWD Eagle Talon with a 125-shot of NOs. For those of you who didn't watch, can you guess who won?

Yep, didn't see all of it. Didn't think that a Civic would be a fair match up against an 1st Gen AWD Talon.

I agree that for a first showing, the subjects seemed a little lame. Whomever produced the show obviously doesn't know what the "kids" in the racing scene like.

IMHO, I think they could have done so many more things to make the show more interesting. I literally fell asleep through the first half of it. I hope, for one thing, that if there are future shows, the cars won't be all drag-strip cars. They should feature cars for rally racing, cars for drifiting, cars for oval and more curvy tracks, etc.

I think the Civic lost, that is what happens when you Turbo/nitrous a SOHC Honda engine.

I saw the show, I don't know if it is gonna be a series but that would be neat. I just wish that they had a better girl rep , we're not all that niave.
