I'd say 1024x768 is an average screen size.

I'm using 1152x864, but this site should use 1024x768.

I knew I was forgetting an option in there
Basically my real question is do I need to worry about 800x600... because once the banner goes up, it's 850 or so pixels wide.

I run at 1280 x 1024, but I think 1024 x 768 is a nice size to design a site for. I normally do mine for 800 x 600 just to accomodate old people, but I think we're all fairly capable with our eye sight here, that we don't have to have the large screens =P

I use 1280x1024 but I think 1024x768 is more of an accepted size.

I've got a widescreen (Dell Inspiron 8500) and my native resolution is 1620x1080... Most people these days have 1280x1024 (standard size)...
