Black Boxes in Cars

This is pretty scary. I can see both points of view. I don't think Mazda puts them in their cars, mainly GM. Anybody know for sure?

I don't like that idea. Soon they will be sending you speeding tickets in the mail every time you go over the speed limit. And the car you love is the one that tells on you.

Seems like an ok idea, but it's scary to think that they could get your speed whenever you do something wrong. Cell phones should have this, to see whether the person was on the phone when an accident occurred.

I would hate for it to be used in cases where you were going like 3mph over the speed limit.

Why should cell phones and not cars? You speeding is every bit as dangerous as you talking on a cell phone.

And so is putting a CD in the player, or talking to someone in the back, or using the navigation system, or putting on makeup, or antyhing that takes your eyes off the road for a second.

But, hey, that's life.

Agreed.

I don't think they should put black boxes, that wasn't my intention. I was just responding to the "cell phones but not cars" post.
