Bad Service in Restaurants
Okay, I always tip at least 10%, even if I have not-so-good service. I understand the waiters make like $2.13/hr. I tip better when the service is better. I even tip at Sonic (which I was told by my roomie's girlfriend who was a manager at one, that you are supposed to tip the carhop). With that being said, I want to share a story:
Myself, my roommate Lonnie, Christie, and Melissa went to a restaurant here in BG on Friday. After 10pm, they turn the bar area into karaoke. We go every Friday night. I ordered Chicken Fingers, fries, and a salad with ranch. Lonnie ordered the same thing, but no tomatoes on the salad and extra ranch. He asked if cheese and bacon came on it and the waiter said yes. I don't remember what Christie and Melissa ordered. Anyways, the waiter brought our food, but didn't leave silverware. Of course, he was no where to be found so I got up and got it myself. Lonnie's salad had tomatoes, but no cheese, bacon, or extra ranch. We ran out of drinks more than once. I got up to go to the bathroom and just so happened the waiter went in before me. He also left before me, but I noticed he didn't wash his hands. So of coruse I had to tell everyone at the table. They were so disgusted by this time, Lonnie went and compalined to the manager. They sent the waiter home and are putting him on probation apparently.
So my questions is, what do you do if you get bad service?
