The Dragon Ball Z fighting style at the end was cool. Makes you wonder how the New Superman Movie is going to be like.

I've followed the series (though not at the expense of a real life, which most SF fanboys seem to suffer from) and I must say that this one leaves a lot to be understood ... or should I say misunderstood? People who could not grasp the meaning of the first one will definetely struggle through part 2 (Reloaded) and might do a triple-take with part 3 (Revolutions). They talk in so many circles during the first half of the movie that it almost seems like a parody of itself (and we've seen enough Matrix parodies already to know what that's like). Although, there was one very funny scene involving Agent Smith and the Oracle that I burst out into laughter at, poking fun at the whole exchange of pointless philosophical banter and existentialist nonsense. I was the only one in the theater who laughed after he smashed the plate of cookies and condescendingly barked at the Oracle about the fact that she knew he was going to do it before it happened. It was honestly the only lighthearted part of the whole trilogy, actually poking some fun at itself instead of being so self-consumed in its own stoic seriousness and dramatic philosophy about the meaning of "Life, the Universe, and Everything".

The effects and all that are hard to dispute as being anything but great. However, there is a lot that will be missed by casual fans ... I don't think many people will seriously understand the outcome, it is very open to interpretation and I think it's a point of contention as well as one of the big reasons why so many people are badmouthing it. In the words of Henry Ford: "Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is probably why so few engage in it." It all comes down to a very simple universal moral about what it is to be human. It's really that simple. Alas, I won't ruin it for anyone.

I totally agree with that... every bad comment I've heard has been "the ending wasn't solid enough." Personally, I think the ending is exactly what it should have been, for a Matrix movie. If you don't want to think, you shouldn't be watching these movies - go rent a Jet Li movie and just watch the action with no plot.

I absolutely loved it. After seeing equilibrium, I've learned not to trust any critics. They went to see a different movie when rating the Matrix, I've concluded (probably Elf)

Loved it.
I didn't blink during the war scenes.

Still don't understand the ending tho, the part when Smith n Neo exploded. :?
Anyone would like to explain?
